A Terraria server provides a platform for players to connect over the internet or other network for multiplayer games. Windows installations of Terraria include its server software. For running on a Linux distribution, you must download the server files. See the Downloads section. A server can also be used for standalone single-player gameplay. This offers the ability to adjust the in-game. Next you want to head over to steam and find Terraria, right click on in and go to properties, then find 'Browse game files' and from here you want to right click on the terraria app (Terraria tree icon) Show package contents MacOS And here you want to paste the files you copied from the download. Note: DO NOT PASTE FILES INTO A FOLDER.

Dig, build, and fight
Terraria gives you the sandbox survival aspects you’ve been searching for mixed into a progression system that challenges you.
Terraria is the most popular alternative to Minecraft. It features more content, a progression system and gives you an easy way to play locally-hosted games with friends. Similarly to Minecraft, Terraria has its own mod-loader with a variety of mods to enhance your gameplay or turn it into utter chaos. It’s full of vicious creatures that want to kill you, including the tough bosses you’ll face.
Every world you create is randomized. And the bigger you make the world, the tougher it’ll be to reach its ends and find the dungeon. Once you do, and you defeat Skeletor, the dungeon guardian, you’ll be ready to face the depths of Hell. But first, you have to dig there.
Unleash your inner architect as you design and build skyscrapers, taverns, castles, or a fortress of pure evil lined with traps and gizmos. In Terraria, if you can imagine it, you can create it. There are tons of materials to choose from and a large variety of decorations to place. Since Terraria doesn’t have a creative mode by default, you’ll have to use the mod-launcher to install a creative mode mod.
Where can you run this program?
Terraria is available for mac OSX 10.9.5 , Windows 7, Ubuntu 14.04 and all newer versions of these systems.
Is there a better alternative?
No, while Terraria does show many similarities to Minecraft and many dislike the 2D style, it offers more content and a distinct progression system that won’t leave you wondering what’s next.
Our take
This 2D side-scroller is a fun and engaging sandbox game that offers you singleplayer and multiplayer modes filled with battles, mining, and building.
Should you download it?
Yes, It’s a great game that has lots of content and great mod support that’ll keep you playing until you’ve beaten the game many times.

This guide will show changing resolution and going fullscreen can end up crashing the game.
How to Change Resolution
But Why?
Well, you might think that game is already in fullscreen so why does it crash, well it's not technically fullscreen, game opens in fullscreen borderless and in video setting you can see option called 'Go fullscreen' and it crashed the game. Same thing happens when changing resolution.
How to Fix It
Well it's simple:
- Go to documents and find folder called My Games, go to it and there should be folder called Terraria.
- Open config.json file using notepad.
How To Buy Terraria On Mac
- Press CTRL+F and type 'Fullscreen'.
How To Mod Terraria On Mac
- Change from 'false' to 'true'.
- Optionally you can also change 'WindowBorderless' to false.
- Save it (obvious one).
- That's it. Game should now open in fullscreen and in settings it'll show 'Go windowed' instead of Go fullscreen'.
PS. Don't click go windowed it'll crash again, just do same thing but change true to false.
